Five ITI students attacked by private bus crew

Five students of an Industrial Training Institute near here were today injured in an attack allegedly by the crew of a private bus, police said.

A dispute between students and workers over the issue of student concessions led to the attack, they said.

The students were attacked using a small pair of scissors.

The injured students have been admitted to a government hospital in Thrippunithura, they said.

Three persons, crew of a private bus plying between Ernakulam and Poochakkal, were taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The vehicle has also been seized, police said.
