Five J-K govt officers awarded Chief Minister's Gold Medal

"The government has accorded sanction to the grant of Chief Minister Gold Medal for honesty, integrity and meritorious public service for the year-2012 in favour of five officers," an official spokesman said.

He said the officers will receive a cash prize of Rs one lakh each, besides a citation and a certificate.

The officers selected for the award included Chief Electoral Officer Umang Narula, Commissioner Secretary in Rural Development Department Farooq Ahmad Peer, Vice-Chairman of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority Irfan Yaseen, Director Resources and Institutional Finance Rashim Kashyap and Chief Engineer of Roads and Buildings, Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, the spokesman said.
