Five ultras
including a self-styled area commander of ultra outfit Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad (JJP) were arrested, while holding a meeting for expansion of the organisation in Bihar ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections, the police today said.
Acting on a tip-off, the CRPF and District Armed Police force conducted raids in the Dundur jungle under Chatarpur police station limits of Palamau district and arrested five JJP cadres, said Superintendent of Police, Mayur Patel.

Addressing a press conference here, Patel said the arrested ultras were identified as Luvkush Kumar, a self-styled area commander of the outfit, Amandeep Kumar, a resident of Kutumba police station area of Aurangabad district of Bihar, Ravindra Kumar Ravi, Satyendra Paswan and Ravindra Kumar alias DGM, he said.
The Police have recovered two country-made rifles, three country-made guns, 25 live cartridges, JJP literature, and five sets of uniforms, the SP added.
