Two persons were killed on the spot and 30 others injured when a bus, on its way from Dhubri to Barpeta, collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction at Abhayapuri in Bongaigaon district.
In another incident, three persons were killed and another was critically injured when a bus hit them in Sonitpur district.
The four persons, travelling in motorbikes, were hit by a bus, travelling from Guwahati to Lakhimpur at Patgaon under Rangapara police station of the district killing three persons on the spot and critically injuring another.
The bus drove away from the mishap site and no arrests have been made so far.
