Two persons died on the spot and three others succumbed to their injuries at the Kharagpur State General Hospital after the lorry hit the rickshaw from behind, they said.
The deceased were identified as Sheikh Shahzada (60), Balwant Singh (45), Sheikh Ali Jamir (50), Mohd Rafiq (74) and the auto driver Arun Ghoria (30), the sources added.
