Light to moderate rains, thundershowers occurred at a few places over the state, Met office said.
Two women and a peacock were killed after being stuck by lightning in Gyanpur area of Bhadoi district, police said.
Sanjula Devi (25) and Shanti Devi (52) were killed yesterday in the incident while a peacock was also struck by lightning in the area, they said.
Three persons, including a 14-year-old girl, met the similar fate in different parts of Barabanki district.
Chief amounts of rainfall recorded was 4 cm in Gyanpur, 3 cm each in Musafirkhana, Jaunpur, and Mathura, and 2 cm each in Ayodhya, Hardoi, Faizabad, Aonla, Jasrana, Jalesar, Shahabad, Varanasi and Barabanki-2 each.
