Five killed in grisly stabbing incident in Brooklyn

In a grisly incident, five people of Chinese origin, a woman and four children, have been stabbed to death at a Brooklyn home and police have taken one person into custody, New York police said today.

One man has been taken into custody, but no official charges have been filed, Officer Christopher Pisano said.

The stabbings took place in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York Fire Department spokesman Jim Long said.

It was not immediately clear what led to the stabbings. All of the victims lived at the Brooklyn home.

All five of the dead had stab wounds to their upper bodies, Police identified the victims as Qiao Zhen Li, 37; Linda Zhuo, 9; Amy Zhuo, 7; Kevin Zhuo, 5; and William Zhuo, 1, CNN reported.
 

The toddler and two girls were already dead from their wounds when paramedics arrived just after 11 p.M. The emergency responders rushed the woman and a boy to area hospitals, but doctors were unable to save them, officials said.

The unidentified suspect, who sources said may be related to the children, was reportedly found inside the apartment when cops burst in on the grim scene, New York Daily News reported.

"It's looking like a domestic violence case," the paper quoted a high-ranking police source as saying.
