Five killed in road accident in Rewari

Five persons were killed and as many were injured in a collision involving multiple vehicles near Siha village on the Rewari-Mahendergarh road in Haryana today.

An MUV (multi-utility vehicle) first rammed into a tractor-trolley due to which it went out of control. It was then hit by an oncoming vehicle, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bawal (Rewari), Satya Pal said over phone.

All five deceased, aged between 25 and 30, were contractual labourers hailing from Rewari who were travelling on the MUV to their factory, he added.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, the DSP said, adding that a case under the relevant provision of the law has been registered.
