Five labourers were killed and as many injured when a tractor trolley carrying them overturned at Gumulei here, police said today.
The incident took place last night when the labourers who were engaged for construction work were travelling in the vehicle with construction material, police said, adding, the vehicle skidded off the road and overturned killing five on the spot.
Five others were injured after being trapped under the trolley and construction material, they said.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where the condition of one of them was stated to be critical.
