Five persons were killed and six others injured when two trucks collided in Orai area here today.
The accident took place early in the morning on National Highway 25 when the two trucks coming from opposite directions collided, killing five on the spot, SP Rakesh Shankar said.
The deceased were identified as Bittan (40), Betelal (58), Pallu (35), Pappu (25) and Ashok (45). The injured have been admitted to hospital.
All the victims were from Madhya Pradesh, police said.
