Five liquor smugglers arrested in Noida

Five smugglers have been arrested from two different areas today and 10 cartons of liquor seized from them, police said.

Two persons were arrested from Sector 49 and 10 cartons smuggled liquor, five litre adulterated liquor, 400 gram Ganja seized from them. While other three smugglers were arrested from Dadri area and 10 litre liquor and 1,050 gram Urea was recovered from them, police said.

District Excise Officer, Kuldeep Yadav said the department was getting complaints of supply of adulterated liquor in the city.

"Excise Inspectors in association with police was conducting raids to check liquor smuggling and supply of adulterated liquor," he said.
 

"I have appealed the residents to buy liquor from the licenced shops only as from unlicensed shops or other outlets they may get adulterated liquor supply which may prove fatal for them," Yadav said.
