Five militants nabbed in Assam, one person kidnapped.

Five militants -- four NDFB-Sonbijit rebels and a KNLA cadre -- were today arrested from Assam's Kokrajhar and Nagaon districts respectively, police said.

Four NDFB(S) extremists were caught red handed at Hatibandha Gaon, in Kokrajhar when they were going to a rubber estate for demanding extortion money, the spokesman said.

Police has registered a case in this regard and investigation is on.

In Karbi Anglong district, Karbi National Liberation Army ultra Bir Singh Rongphar alias B Singh was arrested at Uttar Borbill, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, unknown persons kidnapped one Sree Prakash Gupta (34) yesterday at Natun Bazar when he came to a pharmacy.
 

After receiving information about the incident senior police officials today rushed to the place and launched a rescue operation to trace him out, the spokesman added.
