Five NDFB militants were today arrested by the security forces and arms and ammunition seized from them in the Assam's Baksa district, official sources said.
Acting on a tip-off, the security forces launched an operation in Kawoimari area under Anandbazar outpost of the district and nabbed the militants.
Four 9 mm pistol, five rounds of ammunition, six mobile sets and two motor-bikes were also recovered from their possession, they said.
The militants have been identified as Dilip Narzary, Sambhu Charan Basumatary, Gadani Basumatary, Shekhar Swargiary and Biraj Das.
The militants were later handed over to the police, sources added.
