The accused, Nanbabu, along with his aides barged into his relative Vasudev's house last night and attacked him and his family with axes and sticks.
Vasudev, his wife Daywanti, son Umesh, daughter Sonali and a close relative Ramdev were injured in the attack, they said.
Daywanti, Umesh and Ramdev, who suffered serious injuries in the attack, have been referred to Lucknow.
A case has been registered against Nanbabu and five others in this connection, police said.
