Five persons drowned when the boat
in which they were travelling capsized near Kadmat island in Lakshadweep this morning, police said.
A woman and two children are believed to be among the dead.
Over 20 persons were in the boat, which was going from Amini to Kadmat.
Search operations are still on, police said.
