Five persons injured, Rs 3 lakh looted by robbers

The robbers, a dozen in number, raided three houses late last night and robbed cash and valuables worth about Rs. three lakhs and injured five persons, identified as Jivanand, Pawan Soni, Krityanand Paswan, Amla Devi and Raju Kumar for resisting robbery, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Vikas Kumar said.

The injured were admitted to a hospital for treatment where the condition of Amla Devi and Raju Kumar was stated to be serious, he said.

A case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the robbers, the SDPO said.
