Five persons, including a father-son duo, were killed in two seperate accidents in the district, police said here today.
The first accident took place on Pilibhit-Basti state highway in Isanagar area last night when Meva Lal (42), his wife Malti (38) and Dinesh (28) were killed when their bike was hit by a vehicle, police said.
In another incident near Pandevari village in Pasgavan area, Vali Ahmad (50) and his son Afjal (14) were today killed after their bike collided with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction, they added.
Ahmad and his son were residents of Shahjahanpur district and were coming to a village in Pasgavan to attend a function.
Police has lodged FIRs in both cases.
