Five alleged militants of the Peoples Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were today arrested from Hilsa Bazar of Bihar's Nalanda district.
Acting on a tip-off, the four militants were arrested from Hilsa Bazar while the fifth was held later based on the information provided by the arrested PLFI cadres, Superintendent of Police Vivekanand said.
Four country-made pistols, 25 rounds of live cartridges, six mobile phones and naxal literature were recovered from their possession, the SP said.

The four militants had come to Hilsa with the intention of murdering two big businessmen for not giving them Rs 70 lakh, the SP said.
The militants had sought Rs 50 lakh from a cement shop owner on June 6, 2015 and Rs 20 lakh from a hardware trader on in September this year, he said.
