Acting on a tip off, the forest guards nabbed the five poachers, including one from Nepal and seized four nets from their possession from sector II of Madanpur forest range late last night, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Nand Kishore said.

The arrested poachers, identified as Bandhu Prasad, hailing from Nepal and Lalbabu Prasad, Vikkhu Chaudhary, Omprakash Mahto and Lalbabu Mahto, all locals, have been booked under relevant provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act and sent to jail, he said.
