Five polling personnel injured as suspected Maoist attack

At least five persons were injured when suspected Maoists blew up a vehicle carrying polling personnel in Dumka district, the police said here.

Superintendent of Police Nirmal Kumar Mishra said at least five persons were injured in the incident and more details were awaited.

The blast occurred near Asnajore in Shikaripara assembly segment while the polling officials were returning, Inspector General of Police, Anurag Gupta said.

Polling for the Dumka Lok Sabha seat was held today.
