Five workers received minor injuries following a blast at the Blast Furnace Three Unit at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant today.
"It was a very small incident in which five workers, including three contract workers, suffered minor injures. They were treated at the plant hospital and discharged immediately," a company official said.
The blast occurred when the liquid steel clubbed with water at the Blast Furnace Three unit, he said.
