Five-year girl kidnapped from Hyderabad, rescued

: A five-year-old girl, who was allegedly kidnapped from her house here by an unidentified man, has been rescued from Kodangal town around 115 km from here Thursday, police said.

The girl, a first standard student was lured by the alleged abductor with chocolates and was taken away from her house when she was alone Wednesday afternoon, they said.

In some CCTV footages, the alleged kidnapper, a middle-aged man, was seen walking along with the girl.

After verifying the footages, police tracked the accused inKodangal.

The girl has been rescued and the accused has also been nabbed, a police official told PTI, adding she has been handed over to her parents.

 

The accused, an alcoholic, confessed to police that he had taken away the girl from her house, the official said.

Earlier, the girl's mother in her complaint to police said her daughter went to school Wednesday morning and returned around 3 pm. However, after some time she found her missing.
