Five-year-old crushed to death by bus

A five-year-old boy was crushed to death by an inter-state bus near Anand Vihar ISBT in east Delhi this evening.

Ansh along with his parents and two other relatives was waiting for a bus to Aligarh when another inter-state bus, which was trying to park itself near the bus depot, crushed him, said DCP (East) Bhairon Singh Gurjar.

He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim was a resident of Outer Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area and the family was heading to Aligarh for celebrating Raksha Bandhan, the DCP said.

"A case under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC was registered at Anand Vihar police station and the bus driver has been detained," he said.
