Six persons, including two women, were arrested for their alleged involvement in flesh trade after police raided a hotel in Mukerain town in the district, an official said today.
A police team raided a hotel in Mukerian town and arrested 6 persons last night, he said, adding the arrested persons were identified as Paramjit Kaur, Mamta (both married), Rajesh Kumar, Surinder Singh, Kewal Singh and Rachhpal Singh Pal.
A case has been registered and a probe was on into the matter, he said.
Police was tipped-off that a flesh-trade racket was being operated in the hotel for the past sometime.
