Acting on a tip-off that some suspicious activity was taking place at a residence in the locality, police conducted a raid last night and arrested 10 people including five women, a senior police officer said.

The place was taken on rent by one Neha Singh and her two male assistants Pankaj and Manish, Superintendent of Police (North) Arvind Saxena told reporters.

He added that except Neha, the women who were spotted at the place were from outside the city.

The arrested women told police that Neha had pushed them into flesh trade by promising jobs at an event management company.

A case was registered under Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act against the accused in the Koh-e-Fiza police station in this regard and further investigations are on, the SP added.
