Besides this, police also rescued 22 child labourers and nabbed 13 persons, who had illegally employed them in south Mumbai.
Two teams, one from the V P Road police station and another from the D B Marg police station, rescued the girls from brothels, while two other teams from L T Marg police and V P Road police rescued the child labourers.
The raids took place at the Pannalal Chawl and several areas in Grant Road, where the girls were set free from the brothels and sent to remand homes, police said.
The six women who ran the brothels were arrested and booked under the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA), police added.
The teams also set free 22 child labourers from business establishments in Pophalwadi and Teligalli area in Kalbadevi and arrested 13 persons for employing them, police added.
