Atleast 7-8 girl students taking their Class 12 examinations at a centre here have alleged frisking by members of a flying squad in an "objectionable" manner on the suspicion of cheating, prompting Divisional Commissioner to launch a probe today into the matter.

The girl students, along with their parents approached the top revenue department officials, including Collector and Narmadapuram Divisional Commissioner Virendra Kumar Batham last evening with their grievance following which he ordered a probe.

The complainants, who have accused the flying squad for the episode were writing their Science paper at the Hardu examination centre here on March 17 when they arrived there and allegedly began 'searching' the girls in an objectionable way to check on cheating.

The girls demanded that the guilty should be punished.

Subsequently, the Commissioner nominated the District Additional Collector as head of the inquiry panel.

Also, Batham has directed officials to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to students during checking while they write their examinations.
