Fog delays trains in Raj, Mount Abu coldest at 4.4 deg C

Night temperatures fluctuated marginally in Rajasthan with Mount Abu being the coldest place in the state at 4.4 degrees Celsius, while fog disrupted rail and road traffic.

Due to fog, visibility was recorded below 50 meters in Sriganganagar, Kota, Bundi, Banasthali, Pilani, Alwar, Bharatpur and Ajmer.

Railway spokesperson said that 22 trains are running late from 1 to 21 hours.

These included Howrah-Sriganganagar by 21 hours, Sealdaah-Ajmer by 18 hours and 25 minutes, Howrah- Jodhpur- Bikaner by 14 hours, 50 minutes, New Jalpaigudi-Udaipur by 14 hours 20 minutes and Kanpur-Bhiwani by 11 hours 15 minutes.

According to MeT Department here, minimum temperature of 6.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Alwar, followed by 7.1 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar.
 

Minimum temperatures in Phalodi, Dabok, Banasthali, Chittorgarh, Churu, Bundi and Jodhpur were 7.5, 7.8, 8, 8.5, 9.0, and 9.2 degrees Celsius respectively.

Jaipur recorded it mnimum at 10 degrees Celsius, while it was 9.5 and 9.8 degrees Celsius in Sikar and Jaisalmer respectively, the weatherman said.

The Department has predicted light rainfall at isolated places of the state.
