Fog disrupts rail services in Raj, Dabok coldest at 8.2 deg C

Night temperatures increased marginally in parts of Rajasthan with Dabok being the the coldest place in the state at a minimum of 8.2 degrees Celsius, with several trains cancelled and rescheduled due to fog.

Dabok was followed by Churu which recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degree Celsius, the MeT Department here said.

Sikar, Sriganganagar, Chittorgarh and Pilani recorded their minimum temperatures at 8.5, 8.9, 9 and 10.5 degrees Celsius respectively.

The night temperatures in Jaipur, Ajmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpu and Barmer were 11, 12.3, 12.4, 13.3 and 14.2 degrees Celsius respectively, the weatherman said.

Meanwhile, fog continued to disrupt rail traffic in the state.
 

North-Western Railway cancelled Howrah-Jodhpur/Bikaner, Merta-Road Bikaner, Jodhpur-Howrah and Bikaner-Howrah trains, whereas three trains -- Ajmer-Jammutawi, Ajmer-Sealdah and Jaipur-Allahabad have been rescheduled due to dense fog, a North Western Railway spokesperson said.

Seven other trains are also running late, the official said.
