Fog disrupts rail traffic in Raj

Cold wave conditions prevailed in most parts of Rajasthan today even as foggy weather affected rail traffic in the region.

According to the MeT department, state's tourist hill station Mount Abu recorded lowest temperature at 5.2 degrees Celsius.

Temperature was recorded 5.5 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar, 6.7 degrees Celsius in Churu, 6.8 degrees Celsius in Alwar, 7.0 degrees Celsius in Sikar, 7.6 degrees Celsius in Banasthali, 7.7 degrees Celsius in Chhittorgarh, 7.9 degrees Celsius in Pilani and 8.6 degrees Celsius in Udaipur, 9.3 degrees Celsius in Jodhpur, 9.4 degrees Celsius in Swai Madhopur and 10.4 degrees Celsius to 13.4 degrees Celsius average temperature in other parts of the state, the MeT department said.
 

Due to the prevailing fog, Ajmer-Jammutavi departure was delayed by 6 hours 25 minutes and other eight passenger train were running late by eight hours.

Jammutavi-Ajmer was late by eight hours, Varanasi-Jodhpur by 7 hours 45 minutes, Siyaldaah-Ajmer by 6 hours 30 minutes, Hawrah-Jodhppur by 6 hours 10 minutes, respectively.
