Patna district administration today rescheduled school hours in view of foggy conditions and cold weather prevailing in the city for over a fortnight.
The timing of classes in both government and private schools of the city have been rescheduled, District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Agarwal said.
"Due to foggy mornings and cold weather conditions in the district for the past few days, we have issued a directive to all schools to start classes from 9 am for Std IX and above and 10 am for classes upto Std VIII," he told reporters here.

All schools of the city will re-open next week after winter vacation.
Despite a foggy morning, Patna enjoyed a sunny day today.
As per the Met office bulletin, it witnessed a minimum temperature of 10.5 degrees Celsius against yesterday's 10.4 degrees Celsius. The city's maximum temperature was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius compared to yesterday's 19 degrees Celsius, it said.
Both the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to decline by a few notches tomorrow, the bulletin said.
The weatherman forecast yet another foggy/misty morning that would be followed by sunshine later in the day in Patna and at Gaya, while the weather is expected to be partly cloudy sky at Bhagalpur and Purnea.
Gaya recorded the lowest of 9.9 degrees Celsius in the state, while Bhagalpur had a minimum of 10.6 degrees Celsius and Purnea 10.3 degrees Celsius.
The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius at Sabour in Bhagalpur district, the Met office said.
