Press Trust of India New Delhi
A dense cover of fog greeted Delhiites on a wintry morning today even as poor visibility forced the cancellation of over 60 trains and caused delays in rail services.

Flight operations, however, were normal at IGI Airport here.

"The minimum temperature recorded at 8.30 a.m was 9.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal. Humidity in air was 95%," a MeT official said.

As many as 10 Delhi-bound trains, including Magadh Express, Bikramshila Express and Poorva Express, were reported to be running late while 64 trains were cancelled due to fog.

The weatherman has predicted a partly cloudy day ahead with the possibility of similar foggy conditions in the morning tomorrow.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at around 19 and 10 degrees," the official added.

Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 13.6 degrees while the maximum had settled at 19 degrees.
