A sum of Rs two crore had been earmarked for the Weekly Iron Folic Acid Supplementation Programme (WIFS) for providing free treatment of all children under the age of 18 years in Anganwadis, government schools and government-aided schools of the state under Indira Bal Swasthya Yojna (IBSY).

An official spokesman said the Education Department would ensure involvement of nodal teachers from schools in the implementation of School Health Programme for screening of children. Height and weight measurement and Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation would be part of School Health Card.
