Sleuths of Punjab vigilance Bureau today arrested an Inspector of Food and Civil Supply Department while allegedly accepting bribe.
Inspector Vishal Kumar, posted at Patiala, was nabbed on the complaint of Baljit Singh of village Issarheri, district Patiala, the Bureau spokesperson said here.
The complainant, who was a depot holder, alleged that the Inspector had been demanding bribe from him on monthly basis.
On the tip off, a trap was laid by the Bureau team during which Kumar was caught red handed while accepting bribe of Rs 3000 from the complainant, the spokesperson added.
