Food craft institute to be set up in Baran: Raje

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said a food craft institute would be set up in Baran district.

The food craft institute would help youth in the region get into tourism industry. Also a US firm has been selected to provide skill training to youths through a networking academy at Antah in Baran district, she said.

The state government in association with CISCO will set up digital classroom at ITI in Antah. CISCO will set up four such digital classrooms throughout the country, Raje said.

Addressing a programme at Baran, the Chief Minister said Rs 700 crore has been allocated for the first phase of an irrigation scheme in the area which will bring more than 4 lakh hectre under irrigation and provide water to 820 villages in Baran, Jhalawar and Kota districts.
