Food festival brings world's cheapest Michelin-star meal to Delhi

Incredible food including the world's cheapest Michelin-star meal, carnival games and live performances by the likes of comedian Abish Mathew and Rahul Dua, singers Jasleen Royal and Nucleya among many others will make the weekend extra happening at the JLN Stadium here.

Organised by Zomato, the food and fun carnival, "Toyota Zomaland" opened on Friday with food from over 70 of Delhi's most celebrated restaurants.

The festival will also host Hawker Chan, touted to be the "world's first hawker chef" to be awarded a Michelin Star, who will serve "the world's cheapest Michelin star meal" - his renowned chicken and rice.

The three-day carnival is divided in five food zones catering to every palette.

 

While restaurants like 'Burgernama', 'La Gloriam Chariot', and 'Mike's Hot Dogs' can be found at the "All American" zone, "Little Asia" will be hosting restaurants like 'Kofuku', 'Enoki', and 'Dimbao'.

There will also be a zone dedicated to the "Flavours of India" with restaurants like 'Punjabi by Nature 2.0' and 'Made In Punjab', "Delhi Pavilion" by Sheraton Hotel.

Finally, all things sweet will also have a zone, "Dessert District", dedicated to dessert lovers with restaurants like 'Ice Pice', 'Nirula's', and 'House of Candy'.

"We hosted our first ever Zomaland in Delhi earlier this year. The support and learnings from this city have been significant in building this property, which is why we are back with an incredible line-up of activities for it to be an unforgettable experience.

"Our restaurant partners are designing exclusive menus for Zomaland and artists are gearing up for special performances," Chaitanya Mathur, global head - Zomato Live, said in a statement.

Apart from the food and festivity, the visitors will be able to indulge in 34 power-packed live performances by some of India's most loved artistes.

The lineup will see singers Sidhu Moosewala, DIVINE, Nucleya, Ritviz, Jasleen Royal, Seedhe Maut, Prabh Deep, and comedians Abish Mathew, Rahul Subramanian, Rahul Dua among many more.

The food carnival will come to an end on December 15.
