Foodpanda ties up with Ola to increase customer reach

Foodpanda, the food delivery company announced Monday, that it will be integrated within the Ola app to reach to an additional customer base of 150 million in the country.

Foodpandas technology centre, launched earlier this year, is working with the teams at Ola to seamlessly integrate food-ordering experience on the Ola app to further boost Foodpandas growth and enable its reach untapped consumers across the country.

Foodpanda also said it clocks 3 lakh orders a day currently. The company said it is on track to fulfil its earlier commitment to hire 60,000 delivery riders in the next couple of months. ***************** Sunil Shah named CEO of Societe Generale's solution centres *

Societe Generale announced Monday the appointment with immediate effect of Sunil Shah as chief executive officer (CEO) of Societe Generales solution centres, Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (India) and Societe Generale European Business Services (Romania).

 

Based in Bangalore and reporting to Christophe Leblanc, group head of corporate resources and innovation, Shah will oversee the centres delivering services on information technology, banking operations, finance and research, for Societe Generale across the globe.

Located across India (Bangalore and Chennai), and Romania (Bucharest), the centres are comprising over 9,000 employees. ************ Bosch Home Appliances launches mixer grinder range *

Bosch Home Appliances, part of Germany's diversified group Bosch, has forayed into the small appliances category in the country with its mixer grinder range.

It will launch products starting with Karnataka and Kerala for the same, the company said in a statement.

"We see enormous long-term potential in the Indian consumer durables sector and especially the smaller yet heavily penetrated segment of mixer grinders. The mixer grinder market is growing approximately by 8 per cent year on year. In line with such opportunity, Bosch Home Appliances vision is aligned to expand its presence and gain a sizeable chunk of the growing industry," BSH Household Appliances Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Gunjan Srivastava said.
