Nico Hulkenberg ensured Sahara Force India got something positive out of a tough weekend at home by finishing eighth in the Formula 1 British Grand Prix here today.

The Silverstone squad failed to find pace on the high downforce Silverstone Circuit the entire week and had to go for a one-stop strategy to finish amongst the points.

Hulkenberg did the job for the team collecting four points while his teammate Sergio Perez finished 11th after dropping to 19th in the initial stages of 52-lap race, which had to be red-flagged due to a crash in the opening lap.

Force India's rivals Williams outscored them heavily for the second race in row and surpassed them to be fourth in the standings, thanks to a second place podium by Valtteri Bottas.

A double points finish for the sixth-placed McLaren means that they are now only a point behind Force India, who have 91 points from nine rounds.
