Amid the sluggish growth trend in tourist and corporate traveller bus demand, Force Motors is set to tap the school bus segment.

The company launched its new Traveller range of school buses, which will open a market of 20,000 buses per month industry.

"The 34-seater bus segment has grown only 1.9 per cent in the first 11 months (April'14 - Jan'15) and we were not present in the school bus segment so far at the time when parents are extremely concerned about the safety of their children," Force Motors president, sales and marketing, Ashutosh Khosla said.

The company in a statement said the buses were available with the innovative Child Bus Tracker facility, a feature aimed at enhancing the safety of school children with scanners and GPS tracking facility, as an option.

The top-end version of bus tracker include cameras that stream live videos of the interiors of the bus to the parents, school administrators and school bus contractors, along with boarding and deboarding alerts, the statement said.
