Foreign currencies seized

Four persons have been arrested by the Customs Officials for illegally carrying foreign currencies at the Mangalore International Airport, airport officials said today.

The currencies, in US dollars, Oman riyals and Kuwait Dinars were seized from the passengers identified as Nasir Kappil Abdulla, Abdulla Kunhi, Abdul Jabbar and Khalid Hassainer, all from Kasargod in Kerala, they said.

The currencies were found concealed inside the hand baggage of the accused, who were intercepted before boarding Air India Express Flight IX 823 to Sharjah yesterday.
