The Jammu and Kashmir government has transferred over 123 hectares of forest land in various parts of the state for undertaking 13 developmental projects.
The transfer of forest land has been approved in pursuance to recommendations of the 99th Forest Advisory Committee meeting held on 30 June under the chairmanship of the state chief secretary in which 13 developmental projects were cleared.
The state cabinet, which met here yesterday under the chairpersonship of chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, approved transfer of forest land for undertaking developmental activities on railway line, PMGSY roads and national highway, an official spokesman said.
