The Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta police today raided the houses of a forest official here following complaints that he had amassed assets disproportionate to his legitimate sources of income.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Basant Shrivastava said that police teams raided various houses belonging to the official who is posted at Rampura in Neemuch district as a Forest Ranger.
They recovered the documents pertaining to immovable properties including a 20-acre tract of land on Neemuch Bypass road, two warehouses and a house on a 2300-square feet plot in addition to documents of vehicles, he said.
Lokayukta official were assessing the value of jewellery found in his houses and examining his bank accounts and property papers, the DSP added.
The official has not been arrested yet, he said.
