"We stress upon the need for framing a confederation for preserving Kashmiri language, literature and culture in J-K," AIKS President Moti Kaul said in a three-day conference on the language here.
Various pockets are working for this cause but the need of the hour is to concentrate on making an amalgam and summing it all at one centre, he said.
AIKS will sit together and take this project forward, said Kaul.
To connect with the youth, it is important that concrete steps for their active involvement, he said.
"We feel that though we are all working for the promotion of Kashmiri language with our all might but finances are compulsory to give the process a boost," he said.
Three-day seminar-cum-workshop was organised by Central Institute of Indian Languages Mysore in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art,Culture and Languages and under the aegis AIKS.
