Former Bond girl Famke Janssen ready for female 007

"GoldenEye" Bond girl Famke Janssen feels the franchise can now have a female 007.

The 50-year-old actress said she is is still a fan of the series, reported Digital Spy.

"Every time when they cast a new Bond, it's great to see. I'm ready for a female Bond at this point too! Now that we've had a female M, we can start thinking of a female Bond!," Janssen said.

The "X-Men" star said she is excited to see 51-year-old Monica Bellucci in "Spectre.

"I really enjoy them. It's just incredible that the franchise has been around longer than any other, and it's gone through so many transformations and different Bonds and different times.
 

"They can still come up with interesting women to cast, like Monica Bellucci. It's wonderful that they've cast somebody her age as a Bond woman.
