Former BSFI president dies

Former Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) president Pashupatinath Roy died here this afternoon following a cardiac arrest at a private nursing home, according to the West Bengal Billiards Association.

He was 76. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son-in-law and two grand daughters.

Current IBSF and BSFI president Captain P V K Mohan, secretary Balasubramanium and top players of the country including Geet Sethi, Pankaj Advani and WBBA president Pradip Saraogi and national coach Manoj kothari, expressed their deep sorrow and condolence.

Popularly known as PN, took over charge from his father B K Roy in late 1960S and ran WBBA as its president for more than five decades.
 

He also served BSFI in various capacities including president and went on to head the Asian body for a brief period.
