Former CPI MLA G Demudu passes away

Former CPI MLA G Demudu passed away at a hospital here in the wee hours today following illness. He was 55.

Demudu, who was earlier a legislator from the Chintapalli Assembly constituency, was suffering from jaundice and died during treatment at the King George Hospital here.

He was elected twice from the Chintapalli Assembly constituency on Communist Party of India (CPI) ticket.

The leader is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.
