Former Delhi footballer and official Krishan Kumar passed away at a hospital in Vaishali after a brief illness.
He was 48 years old and is survived by his wife and a son.
Kumar, who breathed his last yesterday at the Pushpanjali Hospital, was creamted this afternoon at Nigam Bodh Ghat.

DSA secretary Syed Shaheen, treasurer Hem Chand and vice-president N K Bhatia attended Kumar's last rites. He started his football career as a defender in the capital's renowned New Delhi Heroes Football Club in 1984 and played until 1994.
He participated regularly in the prestigious Delhi Senior Division Football League, Durand Cup, DCM trophy, All India Lal Bahadur Shastri and Dr. Bheem Rao Football Tournaments etc.
He became Hony Secretary of New Delhi Heroes Football Club in 1998 and served till 2000.
His contemporaries were renowned internationals - Bhupinder Thakur, Trilok Singh Bisht, Ravi Rana, Joginder Rawat, Bhupender Rawat, Mohd. Idrees etc.
He was working as a official in achieves department of Govt. Of India.
All India Football Federation vice-president and DSA president Subhash Chopra and managing committee members expressed their heartfelt condolences over his untimely death.
