Former Delhi state football and table tennis player Swaraj Kumar Jolly passed away this morning at Apollo Hospital following a prolonged illness.
He was 59 and is survived by his wife, a son and a married daughter.
Jolly started playing football in 1975 and was a prominent figure in DSA league for a number of years for various clubs, including his official Reserve Bank of India team in DSA Institutional League for Chief Minister's Cup.

He got associated with various clubs here and promoted players also. He was the sports coordinator of Reserve Bank of India for many years and was the man behind the recruitment of numerous football players for the first time in Delhi branch of Reserve Bank of India.
He was the secretary of DTTA (Delhi Table Tennis Association) before his passing away.
For more than 20 years, he was involved in promoting Table Tennis in Delhi and other parts of the country. He himself was a state level table tennis player before joining the DTTA as an office bearer.
He was the man behind the regular table tennis tournaments in Delhi.
