Former Congress Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav today alleged that Haryana government run by BJP was discriminating against Indira Gandhi University at Mirpur, about 10 km from here, in allocation of development funds.

"While crores of rupees were being given to other universities of the state, not a single rupee had been allotted to Indira Gandhi University (IGU) by the state government since its inception resulting in budgetary crunch even for the direly needed erection of a stadium, multi-purpose hall and Science faculty," he said.

Recalling Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's public announcement regarding affiliation of colleges at a recent rally at Rewari, Yadav reiterated his demand of affiliating various colleges of Fardibad, Rewari, Mewat, and Gurgaon districts to IGU.
