Former Managing Director of Henkel India, Satish Kumar has joined the board of city-based start-up Syona Cosmetics.
Syona Cosmetics operates cosmetics brand Estrella Professional and the city-based company claimed it was one among the top three players in Tamil Nadu.
Before serving Henkel, Kumar was in the Board of various organisations including Amrutanjan, private sector Lakshmi Vilas Bank and realty developer XS Real Group.
Stating that the company was in fund raising process, Syona Cosmetics, Co-Founder and Director, Raja Varatharaju said, "Given the fact that Satish Kumar has immense experience in professional and retail part of business, we have invited him to be a part of our Board".
On expansion plans, he said, by 2018 March, the company plans to operate 4,500 salons across the country.
